What are mandatory accessories to buy with your first tobacco pipe?
02.February, 2010
I just recently bought my first tobacco pipe and I would like to know what accessories and/or cleaning supplies I need to take care of it. Thank you very much!
Pipe cleaners. There are basically two kinds. The regular and Bristle. To do a proper cleaning make sure to get both. Do you drink? If so, most any whiskey will work. Soak the ends of your Bristle pipe cleaners and give it a good run through or two. Use the regular ones until they come out clean.
Tamper. Most anything can be used as a tamper, even the head of a nail. I’ve even used cigarette butts. I have never spent money on an actual tamper.
A simple pocket knife can be used if the cake build up gets too great. Come to think of it I’ve been using a small letter opener lately.
Mason jars. The process is called cellaring. It is the aging of tobacco. Yes, tobacco can age like wine when stored properly. It can smooth out the rough edges and become more mellow. Something you don’t really care for right now may become your favorite smoke in a year. Mason jars are a must. Sealed tobacco can store for many years.
Corn cob pipes. Why would you need these when you’ve got a fancy pipe? Cobs are often used when trying out new tobaccos. You don’t want to put something in your regular pipe that might leave a ghost behind. I bought a blend a few weeks ago that was so heavy on the Latakia it was all I could smell or taste for a few days. That cob still has a strong smell of it even now. You’d better believe I’ll keep that stuff in a jar for a few years before trying it again. If you are a heavy smoker, (more than 4 bowels a day), you should let your pipe rest for a bit. With a cob you really don’t have to worry about it. If a hundred dollar pipe cracks from overuse you will be sad. If a four dollar cobs breaks you just get another one and don’t worry about it.

Check the Battlegen screen in the Customization menu.
A symbol showing a square and a sword indicate an HP attack is necessary to Battlegen.
A symbol showing "EX" and a sword indicate an EX Burst must be used.
A symbol showing "BRV" with an explosion-looking symbol indicates an opponent’s Bravery must be Broken.
A symbol showing a grid with an explosion-looking symbol requires Stage Destruction, where an opponent is slammed into a wall or floor and leaves an impact, or structures in a stage are destroyed (sometimes by dashing through them.)
I have 250$ and I want to blow it on all guitar accessories. I have good guitars and amps, but I want to get some things that most guitarists wouldn’t think of getting that would make my guitar life funner/easier. So thank you for your help!
Try a jellyfish pic: only $10

Download Audacity (Free) or some other recording program.
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/
Then you’ll need a midi-to-USB cable $40-$60
Now you can record music on your Computer.

I usually invest all of my money on new gear!
I would strongly recommend joining a community of recording enthusiasts like http://www.audioneeds.com – Forums are great because they’re free and there are usually tons of people there who are willing to answer your questions and help guide you toward the direction you want to head.
I’m sure it’ll help
What are the major accessories I will need for camping besides a tent and Air Mattress?
18.December, 2009
I am a first time camper, yea I know it is sad but I have just purchased my coleman tent and air mattress and I was just wondering what other esential camping accessories I will need? Also, any camping tips would be most helpful! Thanks
My hubby and I just started tent camping with friends two years ago, and it took us a while to figure out everything we needed (btw, good start getting an air mattress!). Oh, and don’t forget to waterproof your tent BEFORE the trip with waterproofing spray sold at sporting goods stores!
Here’s my abbreviated packing list. You have some items already (obviously), but I’ve highlighted items you might still need to purchase:
SHELTER:
-Tent
-Tarp to Go Under Tent (should be the same size as tent base, not much bigger or you’ll have to fold it under. This keeps the tent bottom dry, and you don’t want rain collecting on the tarp and rolling under!)
-Air mattress
-Air mattress pump
-Sleeping Bags / Pillows
-Extra Blankets (1 per person in case of chilly weather)
-Beach Towel (for when you track mud all over your tent)
-Lantern (battery-operated) to hang in tent
-Foldable Chairs / Lawn Chairs (to sit around fire)
-Rope or Line to hang items to dry on – like wet towels
FOOD:
-Hand Axe (to chop fire wood)
-Long-reach lighters
-Fire-starting kindling twigs (buy them from camping supply stores – they’re wood chips soaked in some fire-starting chemical)
-Pie Irons (to cook food in over the fire – these are ESSENTIAL!)
-Campfire Fork (to roast weiners, marshmallows on)
-Food (should include basics like eggs, bread, peanut butter, deli meats, cheese, butter, hot dogs, s’mores makings, pop, juice, tea, coffee, ketchup, mustard, brownie mix, pizza sauce, pepperoni, potatoes, oatmeal, beef stew, trail snacks, chips, popcorn, etc.)
-Campfire Cooking Pot
-LARGE Cooler with ice
-Egg Holder Storage Case (designed for camping trips)
-Plastic Utensils, Cups, Paper Plates
-Garbage Bags
-Giant Ziploc Bags (to place singed pie irons in when packing to come home)
-Sharp Knife
-Rubbermaid Tote to wash dishes in
-Dish Soap
-5-6 Dish Towels
-Campfire Glove (heatproof gloves that allow you to pick up hot logs off the fire, or hot pans)
-Mugs (for coffee & tea)
-Kettle to boil water (should be campfire safe)
-Bottled water – large quantities
-Picnic Table Cloth (campsite picnic tables are dirrrrrty!)
-Can Opener
-Travel Cutting Board
-Aluminum Foil & Ziploc Bags
-Non-Stick Cooking Spray
CLOTHING / HYGIENE / SAFETY:
-Standard clothes
-Extra socks, 1 pair extra walking shoes
-Rain coat, poncho, or garbage bags
-Bug Spray
-Sunscreen
-Usual Hygiene Products (forget shampoo if it’s a short trip – you’re allowed to be dirty when tent camping!)
-First Aid items (bandaids, benadryl, calamine lotion, antiseptic cream, aspirin, immodium AD, etc.)
-Hand Soap
-Towels (in case you get soaked in rain)
-Hand Sanitizer
FUN / OTHER:
-Deck of Cards / Travel Boardgame
-Camera / Extra Batteries
-Flashlights / Extra Batteries
-Fishing Pole / Tackle Box
-Lots of Cash to buy firewood near campsite – it’s expensive!
-Wallet, ID, Cell Phone
Phew! It seems like a lot, but skip here and there and you’ll be wishing you had these items when you’re at the campsite. It’s worth filling up the car with Rubbermaid Bins filled with this stuff. Oh – don’t forget Rubbermaid Bins to put all this stuff in! You’ll need to keep your possession and food waterproof if it rains!
Have fun!
What are the most important accessories to buy with a Wii?
12.December, 2009
I am buying my kids a Wii for Christmas. Walmart has lots of bundles but I don’t want ot purchase something that we really do not need. I need recommendations on the most important accessories besides the Wii itself and games. Thanks and Merry Christmas!
Get a Wii Remote (Or also called "WiiMote") for all kids in your family (Maximum 4 "WiiMotes per Wii), and a "numchuck" for each WiiMote. Since the wii runs out of memory pretty fast as you get games, you might as well get an SD card for the wii.
Merry Christmas to you too!
I’m buying my partner a Nintendo Wii for Christmas but there’s so many accessories available to go with it that I’m not sure which I need and which are optional. Eg, do I need 2 remotes and 2 nunchucks? Do I need the remote chargers? Do I need the sports pack (golf club, tennis racket etc)
I’m very confused so any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
You should really get the starter bundle that walmart has on sale for 50.00 off. It has everything that is needed for 2 players to play.
which accessories would go best with a royal blue homecoming dress?
17.November, 2009
I am wearing a royal blue, strapless dress that’s a few inches above my knees for homecoming on saturday and I need to know what accessories would look best. And any other tips like hairstyles for strapless dresses would be great too. I have long, dark brown hair and olive skin.
I think black jewelry would look best. Or silver.
