It’s like Mandarin is the new fad, with all the hipsters and yuppies rushing to learn what is supposedly "the language of the future." There already is a global lingua franca – it’s called ENGLISH. It seems these days like the dopey soccer moms are demanding that their bratty kids study a language that’s probably far less useful than the media makes it out to be, not to mention virtually impossible for Westerners to learn to any useful level of proficiency. It’s like it’s become a status symbol or something, just like lattes, sushi, and SUVs. You’re "cultured" if you can read a few Chinese characters, yet the enormous amount of time invested doesn’t justify the payoff and you could actually be doing something more useful.

Mandarin is just another trendy accessory co-opted by upper middle class white Americans to add to their collection of dumb 2000s-era fads, consisting of their Ugg Boots, skinny jeans, and self- Internet diagnosis of "super-duper-mild Asperger’s Syndrome".

No knowledge is wasted knowledge.

Since the auto industry is still taking a dive & selling off auto lines.

Would you buy a car from Walmart if they had a Automotive showroom.

The car would obviously fit into the import category. And offered 2 door,4 door & Mini vans. Trucks & Suvs would come later. And offer
4 & 6 cylinder engines + customizable colors & accessory options.

So would you buy one & do you think they would be a threat to the existing automakers.

I just bought a 2003 dodge durango r/t. what kind of accessories can i add on to it and not make it look all ricer and stuff. i want it to look the same from the outside except for the exhaust. and the interior with some accessories added in like gauges and stuff. any ideas would be appreciated!!!

I have guy friends who are extremely high on the food chain and some who are just good enough to get by, and others who aren’t so attractive. People tell me that I am attractive all the time and I know for a fact that I am. I mean I have a strong character I have good taste in clothing, shoes, and accessories. I walk with confidence and I know I have good qualities which I can offer to man. I have a great body I get compliments on it all the time I have a nice SUV, I like to shop, and I am very open minded and opinionated.

However, a lot of women don’t like me and I have learned to live with that. I have told myself that they only admire what they wish they could have been granted as a birth wish. Like I said before guys like me they stare at me and even compliment me on my looks, BUT they hardly ever approach me. WHY WHY WHY??? I don’t want to be single anymore I am so sick of seeing my girlfriends with boyfriends or switching boyfriends while I am still froze in the same position. Any advice I have been giving advice to you guys and this right here is my story.
I don’t think I’m as materialistic as most of you guys put out. Hpwever, I do get mistaken for a stuck up person quit often so I guess there might be some truth behind all this. If guy’s think I am so stuck up, arrogant, and materialistic why bother giving me compliments anyway? Why even bother starring at me just let me be myself. To the guy who said I was a stuck up biatchhh you are extremely rude you’ve insulted me enough you really didn’t need the extra stuff.

Yeah it does sound like you are a little stuck on yourself. Which explains why girls don’t like you. It can also explain why guys aren’t asking you out. It sounds like you think you are too good for the average person. No guy is going to approach you when you stand there all stuck up.

And, guys could care less about all those things you mention. It does make you sound extremely materialistic. Forget about your car, your clothes (shoes and accessories?! do you not know guys at all??), etc. Guys can compliment you all the time, but it means very little. Everything you said shows that you seem very shallow and perhaps are looking for all the same things you just described in a guy. Every guy like that is stuck on themself as well.

EDIT: Well you obviously want to be the center of attention and I’m betting you are all up in everybody’s face about how good you look. We think you are materialistic because you listed your possessions, not your qualities and claimed those should be the reasons guys want to date you.

So we have a 2002 Mercedes SUV. For last year and a half, the SUV gets less than 100 miles a month on it, and my parents refuse to drive it for many illogical reasons. They won’t let me drive it and put it to use, and they sometimes drive it… but just to show off… I helped put accessories on there like the side steps and bumper guards. Anyways… is this bad for the SUV? They refuse to sell it… its like a $40,000 brick in the garage…. I’ve monitored the miles by turning the electronics on every month and so far the last 3 months, its actually only had less than 40 miles on it…

As long as it gets proper maintenance and is driven a little there is nothing wrong with low miles per month.

ABS
Automatic Transmission
Coupe, Sedan, or Hatchback….no SUVs
at least 4 stars on all crash tests
power accessories (door locks, windows, mirrors)
keyless entry

so far looking at:

2003 and 2004 VW Jetta 2.0L
2001 and 2002 Volvo S60 2.4T
2004 Volvo S80 2.9

Don’t want a civic, corolla, or focus…..

any other ideas I’m missing?

however volvos cost the most to repair. i would go with a subaru outback, impreza, legacy, forester
